A huge and successful inter-faith rally was held last Friday at Makati. It’s good that people are provided with a venue to voice their outrage to our current crooked government. However, as my mundane-yish character has always not been overpowered with these kinds of acts of Solidarity. I was probably sleeping beneath 9 layers of sheets when God gave out his virtues of activism. Thus, this comment implies only as a personal reflection on the said event. Honestly, I'm so sick of people shouting out for freedom and ousting the current leaders, crying out to stop the greed and corruption..blah blah bleagh..
We did it in Edsa 1 and 2. We ousted two leaders and granted with the Freedom we always wanted. Once again, here we are calling out Gloria to resign. There must be something wrong with the administration... in fact, there will always be. Everyone is susceptible to being greed and corrupt. And getting someone new to sit down and take over is not always the best solution to bring through what people really wants. In fact [again] People by nature doesn't know what they really want. When you have a cheese burger, you secretly wished for a tacos instead. My post is not to end the battling issue of whose right and wrong or whose blameworthy. My point is, we never really get satisfied.
