Earth Hour

I was left at home with my niece Ashley and nephew Ashton. We were watching white chicks for the third time. The rest of my family were dining at Dad's Qc. The three of us were excited because i plan to join the Earth Hour campaign. I shut off all the lights in the house from 8:30 -9:30 pm but the tv, aircon and dvd was on. The kids asked me what exactly Earth hour was all about, i told them its our way of saving energy to help our planet, which is our home. I'm not sure if they understand but they nodded at my explanation. so there goes our Earth hour experience.

Bad publicity

Did you heard about this designer Boyet Fajardo whose "creative outburst" allegedly made a Duty free staff kneel just to appease his anger. For me that is super duper mega power tripping harshness. Major offensive. Though there's no legal actions or whatsoever, i read that it prompted a hate campaign and boycott on his rtw business in many sectors including online bloggers. I think he deserve a dose of his own medicine.-- Creative outburst your ass!

Manny Pakyaw ( i don't know how to spell it) one the greatest Filipino boxer of all time has caused another ire on the television war. Though the boxer issued an apology, i think network bosses are not dumb to release something that is not true, Pakyaw gives honor to our nation through boxing and that doesn't exclude him from being imperfect. Apparently he has money issues inspite of his million dollar bucks.-- Money Pakyaw it is.

Smack ad

I came up with an anti lip surgery campaign for fun. But there is an underlying truth in my humor. Its obvious that women who underwent lips surgery is fixated to Angelina Jolie's lips, but hers is an inborn quality. This is to all whose trying to get that look and deviate from the more critical issues in life. And certainly,Angelina is more concern about those than her pout.

blogger theme dilema

Yesterday, i tried changing my blog to a pink and blue color scheme template. But i feel its not me so i just downloaded several blog templates from the net. Some were a lot better than my first tweaked version but there's always this feeling of discontent..You know even its a lot more prettier and organized. Maybe its really not what i like..so i change it back to the old look..i just added a hint of pink and tame a little of the brown hues. and Now I'm happier.

I realize we really can't change ourselves in one snap..and be happy about it. Its about taming what we don't like and adding something that we think lacks. Its really not about being perfect..or finding the perfect blog theme.. its really about who you are.

Review: The Squid and the Whale

The movie is a story about a dysfunctional family, surprisingly charming in spite of an unpleasant scenario within the brood. I have to say that the characters were well defined and connects to the audience effectively. Not exactly one could identify, but it seems more like you know them personally. The variety of the characters convinced me not to get bored. I also like that the 80’s atmosphere and texture was palpable, that it fastened everything together seamlessly. The Squid and the Whale is not at all an inspiring movie but the direction and story was enough reason for me to seat and lend my time to watch cautiously for the fear that i might miss out something. It’s one of those deficient yet unintentionally remarkable and clever movies I encounter.

recently...

I'm practically home for 5 days now. Our recent project which is a medical supplement/vitamins turned out well. It was kind of boring at first because i couldn't relate much on the theme -which is basketball. But my friends at work made the stint a lot more fun. Credit goes to Kat P. because of her extreme efficiency. Almost like a human hyper smart, hyper active kind of a creature. I even asked if she was cum laude cuz' she looks like she is. Fun also because Jose, our editor was like a little boy trapped in a huge man's body- like a Sabre tooth kitten. An incident where Raks and i ate big time at nearby Sukhotai resto (sisig, chicken in a basket, tom yum soup ,garlic kangkong) and of course Maan and her fake Quaker oats diet.
Right now, my body clock is so normal. Its like of a teacher, i sleep at around 10-11pm and wake up at around 4-5am,and i feel good about this schedule because i get to eat a lot in the morning like tuna sisig and chicken salad and corned beef with rice. I love.

I saw Kris Aquino crying on TV again.. Don't make her cry na because sometimes i honestly find it funny (but i feel for her more than anything). Her only message (from her long message) was to never forget what her dad made in our history. I particularly loved Korina's interview because at first Kris said she has no message to the convicted gunmen..but later retracted her statement by saying she has message na pala and that is to stop lying na daw. I love.

I watched SNN (Showbiz News Ngayon) Anchored by Kris and Boy. What i like about this show is the way they walk around the set almost simultaneously and constantly adjusting for a good blocking , its like i tunes cover flow or like an i pod shuffling feature. I love. haha

We have sexy weather these days....its soo hot!..grabe ang init!

Salty movie

Being a kidney transplant I'm restricted from consuming too much salty foods. I also don't like swimming in the beach because of the salty water...but this SALT is a must see. Angelina Jolie will play Evelyn Salt in her upcoming action-spy movie. It was originally Edwin Salt which will star Tom Cruise, but the later decided to back out so the movie was re-written for a female lead. It sure sounds like major kick ass awesomeness!

an upcoming short story book

I'm doing an illustrated type of short story book last night. I'm done with the story and just completing /rendering some (graphic) illustrations. Basically its about a kid, a piano, a friend and the tears that drowned them--No! I'm not gonna kill them. Its a mature story/concept written in a child-like way. Simple yet meaningful.
